Creativity. That’s my word for 2025.
As founder and president of Making Miss Mogul, creativity is integral. However, it is SO easy in this world of distraction and over-stimulation to neglect our imagination. I have struggled with this over the years, especially when it comes to my songwriting. The more time I spend consuming, the more my own, unique voice gets lost in the wilderness. I think every creative person deals with these hurdles, and it isn’t spoken about nearly enough. All I know is that my mental health drastically improves when I engage my creative brain.
So, for 2025, I am going to live in accordance with the word ‘creativity’. I am going to create more than I consume. I want to write and record my debut album. I’d like to consistently produce content for Making Miss Mogul. I also want to take more risks with my fashion this year, and continue to express myself in new and exciting ways. If I do fall into mindless scrolling (yeah, it happens!), I will make sure that I am engaging with inspiring and innovative content.
To help keep myself accountable, I created a folder on my phone called ‘2025 accountability’. It contains motivating pictures from my favourite creators, artists, writers, authors, entrepreneurs etc. Then, every time I am ‘creative’, I add my own photos into the album.
All of this is to say, that I would love for you to join me in this creative pursuit. I’ll be documenting my progress via my personal instagram @amyjoofficial. In posting my live shows, the recording progress, my fashion, and of course, Making Miss Mogul content, I hope to inspire you all to ‘create’ more this year.
